Oceanfront Elegance

This Idyllic oceanfront estate, located on the Saanich inlet, is surrounded by fragrant rose bushes, vibrant sunsets and ocean vistas, and was designed for clients seeking an escape from city life. 

The home is a tribute to the owners’ love of seaside charm: modest in appearance from the road, unfolding into a grand build as the home terraces down to the water. Jenny Martin Design worked closely with the clients to design this home around the old-world charm of their valued antique furniture and décor. The clients tasked the design team with providing professional guidance to ensure the project was executed to perfection. 

As this project blended two households with varied styles, honouring both clients was at the forefront of the process. The result was a traditional take on contemporary features that combined elements: like stylish, travertine floors with radiant in-floor heating, and separate wings with dressing areas as well as individual private offices overlooking the ocean. Throughout the house, elegant, traditional motifs marry industrial steel and stone modernity. 

The effect is a carefully curated home that marries timeless sophistication with contemporary polish.
