New World Manor 

Located on a large country estate, this manor is surrounded by lavish gardens and spacious meadows. The project recreated a historic residence into a modern-day social palace — with speed at the helm. 

Jenny Martin Design worked with the client to transform the primary wing of his house into a brighter, open-concept social space, with lasting finishes and an elegant farmhouse aesthetic. The design honoured the exacting architectural standards of this 1949 build, while enlivening the space that has hosted some of Victoria’s premiere social occasions.

The single-level floor plan may deceive this home’s 4,400 square feet, yet the design team aimed to open the space for the couple to age in place. This included customizing a walk-in shower, creating low and accessible storage and designing modern conveniences within reach in a highly functional kitchen, all while working within heritage parameters and monitoring the execution.

The result is an evolution of clean contemporary lines, classic accents and spacious home that exudes grace.
