A Unexpected Twist on West Coast Contemporary

Boasting unobstructed views of Gonzales Bay, this prestigious west coast contemporary build challenges norms with its minimalist yet impactful aesthetic. Designed to pay tribute to more classical detailing found within the west coast, project Hidden Hills seamlessly marries a contemporary viewpoint with innovative engineering to achieve a timeless yet distinguished design. 

Aiming to differentiate from typical west coast contemporary homes, project Hidden Hills integrated a suspended white oak clad staircase, which quickly became a sculptural centerpiece for the home, and a feat of engineering and detail work by the talented trades involved. The fireplace's full-height drywalled step and seventeen foot concrete hearth marries perfectly with the beamed tongue-and-groove ceiling above. 

To minimize distraction from the view and enhance the clients' desire for wood cabinetry in the kitchen, project Hidden Hills incorporates an entirely wood kitchen, including white oak pulls. Low-profile lighting in the kitchen and dining room create a statement without impeding clear sight-lines to the ocean, while a marble-clad island and splash, custom modern shaker cabinet doors and a hidden entry to the clean, minimalist white pantry, truly elevate the space.

Seamlessly merging minimalism with the unexpected, Hidden Hills is the embodiment of elevated luxury. Showcasing an extravagant wine cellar and a Principle Suite that incorporates slick marble details and views from both the bedroom and the ensuite, this contemporary home is nothing short of spectacular. 

An unexpected take on the west coast contemporary aesthetic, Hidden Hills has created a home both familiar and warm, yet sculptural and stately.
