This distinguished estate is set amidst the majestic Gary oak trees on a quiet street in Victoria’s prestigious Uplands neighbourhood. The house was designed for a busy family with three children seeking a home tailored to their activities and daily flow. 

The clients entrusted Jenny Martin Design to design their new home with function at the forefront, while ensuring the details for their dream home remained at the helm. Special care was taken to select hypoallergenic finishes and materials to care for all family members.

The well-appointed kitchen was designed to be the cornerstone of the home for these clients who love to cook and entertain. It features a Wolfe range and countertop steam module as well as side-by-side sub-zero built-in fridges. This kitchen also has two hallmark islands — one for prep with a hidden appliance lift, and the other for homework and guests. Classic white shaker cabinetry contrasts glamorous metal drum pendants and dark-stained hardwood floors. 

The effect is a lavish home that feels as grand as it is contemporary, suffused with functional beauty.
