Classically Coastal

Bridging a contemporary viewpoint with a West Coast transitional lens, this seaside escape strikes a masterful balance between minimalism, intrigue and warmth.  

Designed for a family moving from the East to West Coast, we wanted to design a home that was coastal, contemporary and classic. Harmonizing the old with the new, we integrated a curated collection of custom furniture, and refurbished the frames of existing art to compliment commissioned pieces. Playing with symmetry, texture and breadth of finishes, we created juxtaposition through a contrasting palette of bright whites and rich iron to achieve an interior both timeless and tasteful. 

Softening the space with custom romans and motorized ripplefold drapery in a luxury linen imported from Spain, we were able to create an ethereal backdrop that welcomed guests to the client's secret garden nestled beyond. Complimenting contemporary elements of the home with coastal shiplap detailing and custom millwork, we subtly introduced a transitional perspective, tying together casual coastal softness with clean minimalist lines.

A refreshing nod to the surrounding seascape, Foxglove celebrates the simplicity of a classically coastal and contemporary interior.
