A West Coast Retreat
This modern-day manor overlooks its own stretch of Vancouver Island beachfront. With sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean and a sandy beach to collect shells, this space was designed as a private resort.
The 5,300 square-foot estate was conceptualized as a beach house getaway for a family that craves the Island’s temperate climate. The home features a spacious living room and kitchen, a billiards entertainment area, and a special bunk room with eight vacation beds for guests to enjoy.
Jenny Martin Design focused on elevating the rejuvenation aesthetic, with easy flow throughout the home, spa-like bathrooms and details of coastal elegance. The Lacanche stove, imported from France, became a focal point in the design, while Dutch doors open the home to the sea. Balance was created throughout the home using strong symmetry, scale and tone.
The result is a stately west coast escape that celebrates stylish beachside living with contemporary sophistication.
